Fallon, Elmington Capital break ground on Eastpoint Flats
A major affordable housing development in the East Bank is formally underway.
Officials with East Bank master developer Boston-based The Fallon Company, Elmington Capital Group and Metro and State leaders gathered Thursday for the ceremonial groundbreaking of Eastpoint Flats — a mixed-use building set to include 323 affordable residential units, an 8,000-square-foot childcare facility and 12,000 square feet of retail.
The six-story building will be located on Parcel G of a 30-acre segement of the East Bank that Fallon calls Eastpoint. The address for the future structure is 501 S. Second St., previously having served as a surface parking lot for nearby Nissan Stadium.
